Doaghmoyne On Course To Retain All-Ireland

Reigning All Ireland club champions Donaghmoyne progressed to their 14th successive Ulster final after victory over Lurcan.

Donaghamoyne set up a repeat of last year’s final after Tyrone side St Macartans defeated Armagh’s Clann Eireann.

Donghamoyne led at seven points six at half-time, with Lurgan playing with a strong wind, Claragh O’Reilly hitting four points all from frees in the opening half for the visitors.

The second half belonged to Donaghmoyne as they laid siege on the Lurgan goal.

Louise Kerley was in stunning form and finished with 1-11 to her name while Gina Comiskey hit Donaghmoyne’s second goal.

For Lurgan, O’Reilly hit a consolation goal late in the game.

Elsewhere Corduff and Cornafein set up a Monaghan versus Cavan junior final.

Monaghan side Corduff defeated Ballyhegan 1-14 to 2-5 while Cornafein beat Devenish by four points 0-15 to 1-8.

It will also be a Monaghan/Cavan intermediate final with both Latton and Crosserlough winning their semi-finals on Saturday.

Latton had too much for St Nauls winning out by 4-12 to 1-9 and Crosserlough beat Newtownbutler 12 points to 3-2.
