Mark Stuart last gasp point means Crosserlough and Kingscourt will have to do all over again as they drew the Cavan senior final 2-12 all.

Kingscourt second half performance seemed to have them set for glory, but Stuart’s equaliser six minutes into injury sent the game to a replay.

Crosserlough came straight out of the traps with Adrian Smith scoring a point from play within the first minute and Patrick Lynch adding a free 60 seconds later.

Lynch added a second free in the fourth minute with James Smith making four points to nil after 12 minutes.

Barry Reilly found Kingscourt’s first point on 13 minutes with Brandon Boylan adding another Crosserlough free on 15 minutes.

Moments before the water break Adrian Smith turned and sprinted on goal, blasting to the net to make it 1-5 to one point at the water break.

Kingscourt responded with a Kevin Curtis (mark) which was cancelled out by Patrick Lynch and Barry Reilly finding a Kingscourt point to make it 1-6 to three points on 22 minutes.

Stephen Smith and Barry Reilly exchanged points, before Kingscourt captain Padraig Faulkner found the top corner of the Crosserlough net to bring Crosserlough right back into the game as Crosserlough led 1-7 to 1-4 at the break.

The second-half exploded into action as Cian Boylan found the net moments after the restart to move Crosserlough six points ahead.

Barry Reilly settled Kingscourt with a point two minutes later and added a further two points before the 39th minute to make it 2-7 to 1-7 in favour of Crosserlough.

John Oates sent over a Kingscourt point which was cancelled out by Patrick Lynch’s free, but Philip Tinnelly and Cian Shekleton (free) brought it back to a one point game.

Kevin Curtis fisted the ball into the net nine minutes from time to move Kingscourt two points ahead.

A Patrick Lynch free made it a one point game with five minutes remaining, three minutes later Barry Reilly restored the two point lead from a free.

Patrick Lynch brought it back to one point from a mark as the clock read 59 minutes. Barry Tully’s point a minute into injury time looked to have sealed it for Kingscourt who led 2-12 to 2-10.

David Shalvey scored a cracking point from the wing in the final minute of injury time.

Kingscourt looked to run the clock down and won a score able free only for Cian Shekleton to shoot wde. From the restart Crosserlough worked the ball to Mark Stuart who sent the game to a replay.
