A syndicate in Drumgoon has won over 250,000 euro in the EuroMillions this week.
The group, which is made up of 295 people in the community, came together to raise money for their local after school service by contributing 100 euro each to the syndicate.
On Tuesday they found out that each member would be winning back a multiple of their contribution on week 7 of their 10 week run in the draw.
The winning ticket was bought in Hannigan’s shop on Market Street in Cootehiil, making this the third time in five months the shop has seen a substantial sum of money won in a Lotto draw.
