Over €1 million is going towards deep retrofits and energy upgrades to homes and businesses in Cavan.
The Government announced a €28 million grant this morning for community energy projects.
22 homes in Cavan will get a deep retrofit and see improved insulation and heating systems installed.
Kore Insulation, Ice Cream Treats and Reilly Brothers in Cavan will also be given grants for EV Chargers, solar panels and other works in a project which will be given €1.003 million in Government support.
Cavan Box Packaging will also get grant funding in a separate project.
17 houses across Monaghan, Sligo and Donegal will also receive funding for a deep retrofit, with the Hillgrove Hotel and ABP Clones among the businesses that will be supported to carry out energy upgrade works.
Almost 1,500 homes, community buildings and businesses across the country will benefit from the 39 projects, which aims to reduce energy bills and C02 emissions.
