Eight Goal Game: Emyvale overcome Drumlane

Emyvale came away from their Ulster Junior first round clash with Drumlane with a 12 points win in wet and windy conditions in Ballyconnell.

The Cavan champions had a less than a week to prepare for the game after winning their county title last Sunday. They were in the game at half-time only trailing by 2-05 to 2-03.

Drumlanes goals coming from Philip King and Fergal Brady while Daniel McMahon scored both goals for Emyvale.

The goals continued to come in the second half with Stephen Askin and a brace from David McAllister for Emyvale while Drumlanes third goal came courtesy of Donal Monahan.

Emyvale manager Declan Loughman spoke with Sean McCaffrey after the game. He says they recovered from a bad start but got on top then.
