Eugene Greenan becomes second local Councillor to resign in last two weeks

Eugene Greenan is resigning from Cavan County Council but hasn’t ruled out returning to politics.

The Sinn Féin member has submitted his letter of resignation to the County’s Chief Executive, which will take effect from Friday.

He’s the second local Councillor to resign in the past few weeks, with Fine Gael’s Ciara McPhillips resigning from Monaghan County Council, citing time constraints.
