Locally, children as young as 13 have access to synthetic drugs and are using them daily.

That’s according to Packie Kelly of Teach Na nDaoine Family Resource Centre in Monaghan discussing the battle to combat synthetic drugs in the local area.

His comments come following the death of a 16 year old in Cork last week who died after taking the psychoactive opioid known as U-4
