Former Defence Forces member protesting in Monaghan over pay and conditions

A former Defence Forces member from Monaghan says more needs to be done to recruit young people.

Jimmy Mee is taking part in a 72 hour protest outside Monaghan Court House this week to highlight issues within the Defence Forces. He is calling for pay restoration for existing members, an improvement to barracks conditions and efforts to make it an attractive career for young people.
