A former Choirmaster at Saint Macartan’s Cathedral in Monaghan has been sent forward for trial in the Circuit Court over an alleged theft of €143,000.
57 year old David Drum of 3 Bridge Crescent, Parnell Park, Dundalk, Co Louth, is charged with 93 counts of burglary of Diocese of Clogher funds over an eight year period.
He was well known in the town for his role as Choirmaster in the local Cathedral and other churches in the area.
He appeared in Monaghan District Court again this week where his case was sent forward for hearing in the Circuit Court.
He’ll appear there on January 14th.
