Former Monaghan councillor elected to Kildare County Council

Former Monaghan Councillor Vincent P Martin has been elected to Kildare County Council. The Green Party Councillor resigned from the Carrick Council in 2009, before moving to Kildare.

He was first elected to the Town Council in 1999 as an independent and was re-elected at the following two elections. He joined the Green Party in 2006. He topped the poll in the Naas electoral area at the weekend and it’s believed he’s the first person to be elected to two different Councils.
