Former Taoiseach says this is the hardest possible Brexit route

‘Teresa May has taken the hardest road possible in terms of Brexit’.

It follows a protest at the weekend on the Monaghan Tyrone border by the group Border Communities against Brexit Group, who believe that a hard Brexit will result in customs checkpoints, traffic delays and the closure of local border roads.

Reports over the weekend suggest Britain will have no route back into the EU once it triggers Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty next month.
