Fuel prices set to rise after air strikes in Saudi Arabia

We could see prices rise at the petrol pumps in the coming weeks after airstrikes on two oilfields in Saudi Arabia.

Drone strikes on two oilfields at the weekend have knocked 5.7 million barrels of oil a day out of production, with oil prices jumping.

The Irish Petrol Retailers Association says that while prices will rise, there’s enough oil in storage to mitigate against the losses.

AA Ireland has said that fuel prices could rise by six to eight cent a litre.
