The fixtures calendar for the GAA may become a little clearer in the next few days.
With a further extension on restrictions for large gatherings expected to be announced beyond the 29th of March, It now seems likely that the national league which had 2 fixtures remaining along with the finals, will be shelved and a focus will be put on the championship, which now may revert to a straight knockout.
A teleconference between GAA officials and county boards was held towards the end of last week with a further briefing expected in the next few days.
The opening round of the championship between New York and Galway in Gaelic park on the May Bank Holiday weekend has already been postponed
While fixtures on the weekend of the 9th and 10th of May would also look to be in jeopardy
