Game of Thrones spinoff filming on Cavan – Fermanagh border

It’s reported that filming of the Game of Thrones prequel is taking place at the Marble Arch Caves.

The series is set thousands of years before the popular Game of Thrones saga. The Marble Arch Caves, which are close to the Cavan-Fermanagh border, are closed until Wednesday 26th to allow for filming with The Cladagh Glen also closed.

However, the popular Cuilcagh Boardwalk will remain open. Game of Thrones brought a welcome tourism boost to Northern Ireland, with filming of the series taking place in Belfast and at a number of other sites across the region.
