Green Party calls for better planning and public transport in Cavan and Monaghan

The Green Party is calling for better planning and public transport in Cavan and Monaghan.

Deputy Leader Catherine Martin said she’d like to see the rail service in her native Carrickmacross returned and provide people with an alternative to cars.

She said there needs to be better balance between road infrastructure projects and public transport initiatives.

Speaking to Northern Sound News, Catherine Martin said local towns would benefit from greater investment.
