The health watchdog has found a Cavan nursing home has a high rate of compliance with regulations.
HIQA carried out an unannounced inspection of Esker Lodge nursing home in September of last year.
This inspection found Esker Lodge was “compliant” in seven categories and “substantially compliant” in another four.
Inspectors found that areas judged to be in need of improvement in a previous inspection were dealt with adequately.
The report says the 70 residents had good access to GPs and other health professionals, bedrooms met the needs of residents and were of a suitable size and there was a varied activity programme.
Issues with the conduct of two staff members, storage and paperwork, which were noted during the inspection were all addressed by management.
