A three year health strategy for County Monaghan was launched today.
The Healthy Monaghan Strategic Plan is part of the Government’s Healthy Ireland project.
The plan covers six themes of physical, mental and sexual health, healthy eating, alcohol and cigarette use as well as cross collaboration.
These break down to 29 actions that work towards a single vision of creating a healthier county.
It was launched in the Ballybay Wetlands Centre this morning by Minister Catherine Byrne.
Speaking to Northern Sound News, Fiona McEntee from Monaghan County Council explained what the Healthy Monaghan committee was working towards.
