The holiday park in Killykeen Forest Park is to open in April, more than two years after it was first expected to open its doors.
The 74 acre park was bought by UK modular home manufacturer CABÜ in 2017 after it was put on the market by Coillte.
At the time it was said the company hoped to carry out a multimillion euro investment on the park, with plans for it to open in Spring 2018.
However it’s believed it suffered a number of setbacks during the works.
The park already had 28 wooden chalets which were to be renovated but the company said it planned to increase that to 48 cabins.
CABÜ already operates a holiday park in Kent in England, with the Killykeen park to be branded as “CABÜ by the Lakes”.
Joanne Hayes from the tourism section of Cavan County Council says it’s hoped the park will bring a boost to the whole county:
