Another housing development in Virigina has been put on hold because of concerns over wastewater infrastructure.

Planning permission had been sought to construct four more houses in the Rampart View estate in the town.

Conditional approval was given by Cavan County Council, but was appealed by Inland Fisheries Ireland.

In June, An Bord Pleanála overturned a similar decision that looked to build eight new houses in the town.
