HSE is urging people to get the flu vaccine

The HSE is urging people to get the flu vaccine this year, particularly if you’re in an “at risk” group.

Over 500 people on average die from flu every year in Ireland but that can rise to over 1,000 in a particularly severe year.

Anyone over the age of 65, who has an underlying health condition or pregnant women are being urged to get the vaccine ahead of winter.
