Hurling Development in the Northern Sound region

Cavan GAA , Fermanagh GAA and Ulster GAA held a Hurling development camp last week which was very successful.

Over 60 young under 14 Hurlers from across Fermanagh and Cavan took part. The camp had a number of guest coaches. The Cavan camp took place at Kingspan Breffni.

The camp was sponsored by the Shane Mulholland foundation , who continue to support Hurling in Fermanagh and Cavan.

Participates got a specially designed jersey only available at camp. Jerseys have proven to be a big hit from children and parents.

On the Friday last both Fermanagh and Cavan camps played games at Kinawley GAA.

This also saw two very special guests provided by the GPA in the form of Podge Collins and Peter Duggan.

Both Podge and Peter focused on the basic skills of Hurling and was impressed by the standard of these young Cavan Hurlers.

Ulster GAA Regional Hurling development officer for Fermanagh and Cavan Emmett Conlon spoke about the camp

“We have held two fantastic camps this week in Fermanagh and Cavan. These camps do not run successfully without the fantastic support from clubs ,coaches and parents. The Shane Mulholland foundation continue to support Fermanagh and Cavan Hurling and have to be hugely admired for this.

Thank you to all at Kinawley GAA for use of there brilliant facilities”
