It took an ambulance over 42 minutes to arrive at a life-threatening emergency in Monaghan this year. Figures from the National Ambulance Service show it took 42 minutes and 32 seconds for the ambulance to arrive at the scene.
There were response-times of over an hour in Kildare and Cork and one of 44 minutes in Leitrim. HIQA targets also aren’t being met in up to 50 percent of callouts across the country.
