Incoming Bishop of Clogher aims to get lay people involved in parish work

Getting lay people involved in their parishes will be one of the main aims of the incoming Bishop of Clogher. Monsignor Larry Duffy will be ordained in a ceremony in Saint Macartan’s Cathedral on Sunday.

He was announced as the new Bishop in December. He replaces Bishop Liam McDaid after he resigned on health grounds in 2016. Bishops from across the country, as well as priests from Kenya and members of other religions will be included in Sunday’s ceremony.
