Donal (Donie) McGovern died Friday 29th May peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the exceptional and loving care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Medical 6 at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his wife Annette; nephews Paul and Michael Sheridan; his parents Paddy and Rose; and his brother-in-law Ned Flynn.
Donie's passing is deeply regretted and he will be forever sadly missed by his loving children, Paddy (Eadaoin), Martin (Eimear), Sean (Louise), Tracy (Timmy) and Noel (Helen). His dear Sisters, Lily Sheridan (Tommy) and Bernie Flynn. His adored grandchildren, Dearbhla, Muireann, Elishe, Cian, Cormac, Clare, Faye, Darragh, Charlotte, Millie, Katie, Ronan, Cónall, and Seánie. Nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours, his lifelong friend Patsy Donoghue, and the wider GAA circle.

Reposing on Sunday evening at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia from 5pm to 8pm (A82YV58), Requiem Funeral Mass on Monday afternoon at 2pm in St. Ultans Church, Killinkere, followed by interment in St Ultans Cemetery.
