Gerry McDonagh died on Tuesday, June 9th 2026 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Martin & Maureen McDonagh, sister Mary Kelly and brothers-in-law; Tony McCabe and Phil Casey.
Remembered with love and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his loving wife Martina, sons; Paul (Aisling) and Simon, daughters; Jenna (Martin) and Keara (Sean), grandchildren; Ben, Emily, Aoibhín and Luca, brother Stephen, sisters; Anne, Una, Bernie and Martina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at his home (H16 CR60) this Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm, and Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm. Removal leaving his home on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm, to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 2 o’clock funeral mass, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.
Family flowers only please donation in lieu of Gerry to Cootehill Cancer Care c/o Mullen’s Funeral Directors or any family member.
House strictly private please at all other times and on Friday afternoon please.
