Joe McBrien died on Thursday 7th May 2026 peacefully in Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his brothers; Francie (Maureen RIP) Pete (Nula), Paul (Ethna) and Seamus (Anna).
Beloved husband of Mary (née Green) and loving father to Laura Pride (Gavin), Annette, Lisa and Damian (Donna).
A special granda to his 8 grandchildren. Loving brother of Martin, Patricia Leddy (Seamus) and Ann O’Hagen (John R.I.P).
Sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.

Reposing at Swift and McCaffrey Funeral Home, Lisnaskea BT92 0LB on Saturday and Sunday evening’s from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10-30 am to arrive to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newtownbutler for 11 o’clock Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only, donations if desired to Chest Heart and Stroke c/o Swift & McCaffrey funeral directors, Lisnaskea BT92 0LA or any family member.
