Liam Strong passed away on Thursday, June 25th 2026. In the care of the staff of Castleross Retirement Village, with his devoted wife Maura by his side.
Predeceased by his parents Mary and Johnny, brother, Tony, his sister Anna (Coleman) and brothers-in-law Thomas and Gene Donaghy.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Maura, brother Pat, brother-in-law Brian (Coleman), sisters-in-law,cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbours, and wide circle of friends.
Liam will repose at his home in Drumacon, A75 D721 today (Thursday) from 6pm to 9pm and tomorrow (Friday) from 2pm to 9pm.
Removal on Saturday morning at 10:15am arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for requiem mass at 11 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Maura would like to thank Dr. Mary Flanagan, the staff of Castleross Retirement Village, the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and The Step Down Unit in Dundalk for the care and support they gave to Liam over the past number of months.
