Margaret Smyth passed away on Saturday 10th January, 2026. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Mary.
Sadly missed by her loving husband Brian, and her son Bernard, her Daughter in law Carmel and her adored granddaughter Ellie. Her brother Declan, sisters Olivia, Cheedy (Sean), Pauline (Patsy), and all her relatives, friends and neighbours.

Margaret will repose at Smyths funeral home Ballybay eircode A75 RH96 on Sunday 11th January from 2pm - 6pm.
Removal from Margarets home on Monday morning to arrive at Saint Michael’s Church Cootehill for 11am funeral mass. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please donations if desired to Cootehill first responders care of Smyth Funeral directors Ballybay or any family member. House strictly private please
