Marina McGarry (nee Bourke)

41-42 Fermanagh St, Clones, (McGarry's Drapers) and 7 Largy Court, Clones, Co. Monaghan.

Marina McGarry (nee Bourke) passed away on Monday, 5th January 2026. Peacefully in the excellent care of the staff of Oak View, Nursing Home, Belturbet, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Norman her daughter Michelle and her son-in-law Dan.

Cherished and adored mother of Gerry (Kathleen), Annette (Sean), Norma (Tom), John (Maria), Siobhan, Marina (Monica), Niamh (Declan) and Paul (Ann). Sadly missed  by her sons, daughters and their partners. Remembered by her grandchildren; Katie, Ross, Daniel, Philip, Michelle, Paddy, Joseph, Alan, Jack, Noah, Keela, Michael, Sean, Connie, Christian and Matthew and great-grandchildren; Sophia, Alannah, Meya and Bella. Deeply regretted by her extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Marina.

Marina will be resting at No. 7, Largy Court, Clones (H23 E186) on Tuesday 6th for family only. Friends and neighbours are welcome to call on Wednesday 7th between 3pm and 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning (8th) to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Family time on Thursday morning, please.
The funeral cortège for Marina will leave Martin’s Family Room, Newbliss at approximately 1.15pm on Tuesday 6th and will make its way to 7 Largy Court via Analore Street, The Diamond and Fermanagh Street. (Driving)

So sorry to learn of yet another death from Fermanagh street. McGarry's was one of the last names, I could recognise over a shop door on my last visit to the town. The old town and it's memories of it's shops makes me sad. Eternal rest to Mrs McGarry and all our old friends from Fermanagh street
