Peter McGowan died on Sunday, April 26th 2026, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the wonderful staff at Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Margaret, his parents Bridget and John, brothers; Paddy, Larry, Johnny and Martin and his infant brother Joseph.
Peter was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by his daughter Kerry, Son Connor, sister Margaret Kane, brother in law Patsy, sister in law Mary, nephew Robert, grand nephew Conán, all his extended family and his many, many friends. May he rest in peace.
Peter will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am , travelling to the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for a Funeral Mass at 11 O'Clock. Following Mass the cortege will travel to St. Aidan's Cemetery, Butlersbridge for committal prayers and burial. Peter's Funeral Mass will be available to view live on the parish website at www.cavantownparish.com/webcam
