Listen Back: CMETB nominate Monaghan businesswoman Deputy Chair. The newly-appointed Deputy Chairperson of Cavan-Monaghan Education and Training Board, Aprilanna Barker, will be well-known to many around Monaghan. Apart from managing Dinkin's Bakery, the business and economics graduate is also co-chair of the Monaghan Town Team. Additionally she is on boards of management such as Beech Hill School; Monaghan Institute; Youthwork and Youth Reach; as well as on the Dundalk Institute Board of Governors.
Growing up, Aprilanna's parents always instilled in her the immeasurable value of education. Here she tells Zoe Tunney she is passionate about education and sets out her priorities as Deputy Chair of CMETB:
