Eurotech Renewables celebrates 40 years. Eurotech Renewables based in Co Monaghan is celebrating 40 years in business and as a result is offering a 40 per cent discount to customers who purchase a heat pump. At the helm of it's success is local man Gerard Duffy. Established in 1984, the family run business pioneered renewable energy, at a time when oil, gas and solid fuel were the order of the day.
According to Gerard, work slowly evolved in the field of renewable energy. Basically, in the early days no one mentioned the term Renewable Energy. Gerard says it is amazing that 40 years later the view at the top of the hill is enhanced by wind turbines and fields of solar panels. Indeed, replacing fields of grass, a field that was once worth fighting over.
