The Covid pandemic and lockdown in particular saw a lot of people return back to the basics, especially when travel limits were introduced.
Cycling for some played a major part in how the time was passed. Monaghan man Ronan Baxter who is based in Dublin is an endurance cyclist who takes on mammoth cycling adventures.
Having been part of an Irish team that took part in the Race Across American back a number or years ago, Baxter used the lockdown to prepare himself for a solo effort on the Joe Barr 500 Ultra cycling race.
