Cavan SOSAD service 'fearful' for its future without funding. "Financial help needed to secure our future and ensure our survival". That's according to Christine Wynne, branch coordinator of SOSAD Cavan. Christine is also part of the senior management team. Indeed, SOSAD Cavan has provided almost double the number of support sessions as it did in 2023 and as it did four years ago. Moreover, it has already seen an increase of 48% of people needing the service so far this year.
SOSAD is located in a number of locations across the Northern Sound region. There are offices in Cavan and Monaghan Town as well as sub offices in Mullagh and Carrickmacross. Despite its continued success, Christine is "fearful" over the future of the Cavan SOSAD service. The service receives no government funding.
