'Empower Her' Exhibition coming to Castleblayney. The 'Empower Her' Exhibition is coming to Castleblayney this Friday in conjunction with Blayney Blades.
The exhibition, by Linda Hanlon, is travelling across the country and is a portrait collection of 54 women of Ireland. Moreover, the collection is of women who have pushed through personal and professional glass ceilings; including, though not exclusively, career firsts.
It kick-starts in Blayney this Friday and will run from then until September 1st in honour of local group Blayney Blades celebrating 30 years.
The portraits are accompanied by short quotes from each of the women detailing advice they would give their younger selves.
The exhibition is punctuated with dates when Irish legislation changed positively for women from 1922 to 2018.
