Local farmer says 'lessons must be learnt' following storm. A Ballyconnell farmer says we need "alternatives" to ensure people are not living in the cold and dark the next time a storm hits the region. Hugh Farrell is the General Secretary of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers' Association (ICSA). Indeed, while the local farmer paid tribute to the "Trojan work" carried out by his local community in Ballyconnell, following the storm; he believes more urgent support should have been made available for those impacted. Moreover, this could include emergency accommodation.
