12 people are waiting on trolleys at Cavan General Hospital this afternoon.

A total of 363 admitted hospital patients were waiting for beds this morning across the country

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association show 268 are waiting in Emergency Departments. Meanwhile 95 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital. University Hospital Limerick is by far the worst affected with 92 patients waiting for beds, followed by Cork University Hospital with 37.
