14 people waiting on trolleys in Cavan Hospital

There are currently 14 people waiting on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital.

All 14 patients are waiting in the emergency department at the hospital with no patients on trolleys in wards or elsewhere in the facility.

The figures were released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Trolley Watch report this morning.

Nationally, 424 admitted patients are waiting for beds.

293 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 131 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital. University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of people waiting for beds with 98, followed by University Hospital Galway with 54 and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with 29.
