1,000 properties in County Cavan and up to 400 in Monaghan remain without power this morning following Storm Darragh. Nationally, at the peak of damage during Storm Darragh, 400,000 ESB customers were without power at some point over the weekend.
Leitrim is the worst affected area in the Shannonside / Northern Sound region with 9,000 properties currently experiencing outages at this time.
ESB Area Manager, Jarlath Doyle, told the Joe Finnegan Show that "overall, restoration will take another few days at least":
