There are currently 16 people waiting on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital.

All 16 patients are waiting in the emergency department at the hospital with no patients on trolleys in wards or elsewhere in the facility.

The figures were released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Trolley Watch report.

442 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning across the country. 287 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 155 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
