17 people on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital

There are currently 17 people on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital.

That's according to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association this morning.

All 17 patients are waiting in the emergency department at the hospital with no patients on trolleys in wards or elsewhere in the facility.

Nationally, 602 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning.

376 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 226 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
