18 people on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital

There are currently 18 people waiting on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital.

That's according to figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation today.

All 18 patients are waiting in the emergency department at the hospital with no patients on trolleys in wards or elsewhere in the facility.

Nationally, 769 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning.

467 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 302 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
