New plans have been unveiled for the former fire station site in Castleblayney.
Monaghan County Council say they will deliver 22 new homes on the site which includes the yard and neighbouring protected structure.
The homes are being designed for older people and those with specific needs. They will be made up of 1 and 2 bed accessible properties.
The vision includes a shared community space, landscaped recreational areas, and on-site parking.
Leas Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Peter Conlon said he was very proud to launch this housing project in the heart of Castleblaney. He said there was a great need social housing made of up for 1 and 2 bed properties in the county and this was a very much needed development for Castleblayney.
