Siobhan outlined the importance of reaching out for help if it is needed: "Reach out and talk to someone regardless of who it is as long as it's someone that you trust and then you can start to make gradual steps towards making  contact with services as we want people to make that call.

"Once the call is made we will take it from where the woman is at in the minute in time. We will look  at what it is that she wants to do, what choices she might have and what path she wants to follow because it's really all down to what she feels safe and confident enough to do and then we can support her around all of the connections that we have in terms of the all different areas that Tearmann works in."

Tearmann provides community-based support, information, and advocacy for women and children experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse. Services include emotional support, court accompaniment, crisis counselling, safety planning, and outreach. The organisation promotes empowerment through non-judgmental and respectful engagement. Referrals are accepted from multiple professional and voluntary sources, and self-referral is also welcomed.
