Five members of An Garda Síochána in Cavan have been assaulted in the past three months.
The alleged assaults occurred while members were on duty in the county.
Superintendent for Co Cavan, Gavin O'Reilly said that there was zero tolerance towards such incidents.

He said, 'the full rigours of the law' would be applied to anyone who assaults members of the force.
Local councillor Damien Brady has condemned these incidents which occurred since April.
