552 Ukrainian children enrolled in schools across region

552 Ukrainian students are now enrolled in schools across Cavan and Monaghan.

The new figures released by the Department of Education show another increase in the number of Ukrainian children enrolled in schools across the
region. Cavan remains the area with the most amount of students enrolled compared to Monaghan, with 264 in primary school and 164 in post primary While 154 Ukrainians are attending schools in Monaghan, with 90 in primary schools and 64 in secondary. Nationally, 17,880 Ukrainian pupils had been enrolled in schools across Ireland.

Current data indicates an enrolment rate of 88% among Ukrainian children aged 5-18.
