Agri technology company to partner with Cavan grassland advisory business

The partnership will deploy ProvGrass, a satellite-based platform, to dairy farms supported by CGC across the North Midlands.

Proveye, the Irish agri- and climate-technology company specialising in grassland measurement and analysis has announced a new commercial partnership with Cavan Grassland Consultancy Ltd (CGC).

The partnership will deploy ProvGrass, a satellite-based platform, to dairy farms supported by CGC across the North Midlands.

Under the agreement, Cavan Grassland Consultancy will integrate Proveye's satellite-based grass measurement and monitoring technology into its grass advisory services.

Chris Cahill is the CEO of Cavan Grassland Consultancy.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Chris said Grassland management is still the cornerstone to profitability in our Irish, grass-based system of farming.

He said this data will enable dairy farmers to make more informed grazing and feeding decisions, improve grass utilisation, and manage costs more effectively in an increasingly volatile milk price environment.

Mr Cahill further explained: "Cavan Grassland Consultancy has a strong reputation for delivering practical advice to progressive dairy farmers, and their adoption of ProvGrass demonstrates how satellite technology is becoming a core part of modern dairy grassland management.
