Paramedics and EMT's are now back at work from 8am this morning after 24 hours of strike action.
The HSE says the full impact of the work stoppage at the National Ambulance Service won't become clear until later today.
The Health Minister has urged both sides to return to talks over the pay dispute.
However the SIPTU and Unite unions which represents the 2,000 staff involved will strike for 48 hours next week, and 72 hours the week after if no resolution is found.
