Autism classes have been approved for two primary schools in Co Cavan.
Corlurgan and Carraigabruise primary schools got the go ahead to establish new autism classes after it was confirmed today by the Minister for Special Education and Inclusion Michael Moynihan.
Cavan-Monaghan Fianna Fail TD Brendan Smith welcomed the news: "The approval of more special classes is essential in view of increased demand and the need to make this education provision as accessible as possible for pupils."
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Smith said he renewed his representations to the Minister regarding the need to sanction other special classes throughout Cavan and Monaghan.
