The Ballyalbany Active Travel Scheme has reached a major milestone.
Monaghan County Council confirmed that a key construction milestone for the Ballyalbany Active Travel Scheme has taken place with the lifting and installation of the main pedestrian bridge beam.
This marks significant progress on the new pedestrian bridge, which will greatly improve safety and connectivity for people walking and cycling in the Ballyalbany area.
The project is funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the national Active Travel Investment Programme.
Expected completion is the middle of May 2026.
